Und so erblicket seiner Göttin Gestirn
der schönste Stern am Himmel
er sprang hoch und wollte greifen
doch fiel zurück auf Erden Gebein

Der göttlichen Hilfe ungewiss
so springet er weitere male
eine weitere Chance vergebens
des Messers Schneide Entscheidung

So he discovered his Goddess's star
the beauties light on the blacked sky
he jumped up and wanted to catch
but fall down to mother earths hand

the goddess help ambiguous
he tried several times
another chances vain
to balance on a knife's edge
